Autonomous Learning

 

Autonomous Learning (AL) is the foundation of the MACC program.  Everything in MACC, all the curriculum, is rooted in autonomous learning. 

 

Autonomous Learning is where the learner takes responsibility, control and ownership for his/her own learning.  At MACC, the teachers promote this by guiding the students in goal setting, self-reflections, self-assessments, self-regulation,  designing their own enrichment,  self-directed project-based learning, and by supporting the student in contributing to the school community through Leadership, Community Service, and mentoring.
